Room Service is a residency project we're participating in for Fremantle Biennale(!), in which artists from a range of disciplines have been invited to create works within and responding to the historic P&O Hotel on High St in Fremantle. Taking the form of a residency, each artist or group involved in the project occupies a room throughout November, then the Hotel and its new works are open for the public to explore on the last weekend of the month.
Hengequeens will perform across the event's two nights in the hotel's Common Room. We're picking up the threads of our atmospheric experiments from The Longest Night, and using them in our ruminations on arrival, rest, and departure in a piece we're calling "A Room's Embrace".
